ABOUT THE DOCTOR
Dr. Jason Yu, MD
Dr. Yu is a dual-board certified diplomat of the American Board of Anesthesiology in Anesthesiology and Pain Management. He has trained and practiced with the nations’ premier institutions and private groups and is highly dedicated to his career and patients. His approach is focused yet simple, to collaborate with patients allowing them to cope and recover from their pain syndromes through a variety of treatment options.
Understanding the complexity of acute and chronic pain syndromes, Dr. Yu believes in a multi-disciplinary approach to pain management involving counseling, medication management, physical therapy and minimally invasive interventional/surgical and ultrasound-guided procedures.
Among the various conditions Dr. Yu treats include cancer related pain syndromes, musculoskeletal conditions, post-operative acute and chronic pain, headaches, opioid addiction and neurologic disorders.
As a Chief resident as well as Foundation for Anesthesia and Education Research (FAER) scholar and grant recipient, Dr. Yu has been involved with numerous abstracts, case presentations, and contributions to peer-reviewed journals and continues to take an active role in teaching medical students, residents, fellows and mid-level providers.
Dr. Yu continues to be an active participant in national conferences and is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA), Medical Society of the State of New York (MSSNY), Chinese American Medical Society (CAMS), the New York Society of Anesthesiologists (NYSSA), and is affiliated with the Northwell Health system.
During his free time, Dr. Yu enjoys playing the guitar, fishing, and trying to cook meals in his instant pot.
